Hi friends! Let’s chat about the wardrobe. I love fashion and expressing myself through it. I believe that we can be fashionable in an intentional way. INTENTIONAL is a word that I’ve made a friend, and I have been trying to honor that friend in every area of life— particularly the wardrobe.
Thanks to @konmari.co, we have started paying attention to all the things that come in and out of our lives. The “spark joy” movement has helped us all to look inward and evaluate the things we let come into our lives.
✨3 tips for wardrobe intentionality✨
1. Don’t impulse shop. Sleep on it first. If you see something you WANT-
go home, look at your closet and ask yourself “why do I want ______ and what do I have that will go with it”. If you think it adds value to your wardrobe, go back and get it.
2. 1 in 1 out rule. It’s simple, if you add an item to your wardrobe, remove another item. This helps hold you accountable for volume. Having a bulging wardrobe is overwhelming and wasteful.
3. Evaluate your wardrobe by trying EVERYTHING on. This takes time, but doing this is crucial because you find out what fits and what doesn’t. If it doesn’t fit, it’s time to let it go.
