Nemám vo zvyku sa chváliť, ani prispievať na sociálne siete takýmto obsahom, preto asi málokto tuší, že sa mi za posledný rok podarilo schudnúť desať kíl. Niekto si možno povie "čo je to trápnych desať kíl, veď to ani nie je vidno", no pre mňa tento progres predstavuje najväčší úspech, aký sa mi v súvislosti s chudnutim a celkovo zmenou životného štýlu podarilo dosiahnuť. Všetky moje doterajšie pokusy boli totiž postavené na nezmyselných diétach, striktnych zákazoch toho či onoho a odopieranim si všetkého, na čo som mala chuť, čoho dôsledkom bolo nakoniec vždy len zlyhanie, excesívne prejedanie sa a sebaľútosť.
Tentokrát to však bolo niečo celkom iné. Každý, kto si podobnou premenou prešiel, určite vie, že základnym stavebným kameňom celého tohto procesu nie je len rovnica príjem

In honor of the CrossFit open 20.2 today (DB thrusters), here is a dumbbell only workout we did in class a few weeks ago. You can use whatever weight dumbbell that feels comfortable. As you can see, my form is hard to maintain at such a heavy weight (35#) and my knees buckled when doing the hang squat cleans so choose one you can maintain!
Three, 3 minute AMRAPs
✖️ 3 minute dumbbells hang squat cleans
✖️ 3 minute dumbbell thrusters
✖️ 3 minute dumbbells hang squat clean + thruster
If you feel you’ll cheat yourself or not challenge yourself enough, switch the AMRAP style out and change it to a set amount of reps such as 20-40 to complete per movement. Your legs and arms are going to be screaming afterwards! 😆

After painting my first house, I must have thought I was Pablo Picasso (I’m NOT! I help busy professional women lose weight!!!). As you can see, deep dark blue paint all over the carpet (destroyed!!!)… This is what happens when you try to take shortcuts, do it on your own, or go with the cheaper alternative.
A bit like jumping on the next fad diet or quick fix.
It’s appealing because it’s cheaper and appears quicker and easier.
I get it…
You don’t know who to believe or what to do anymore.
You’re uncomfortable in your clothes and just want to get back into your favourite pair of jeans again, and pronto.
But (just like my dodgy paint job), if you choose that quick fix solution and jump on the next fad you’re just going to end up wasting more time, and spending more money over and over.
That fad diet isn’t going to teach you how.
It isn’t going to help you understand what you need to do to achieve permanent results.
In fact more often than not you will end up regaining all the weight you lost.
It doesn’t have to be that way…

But I was off my routine 100%. Was way too busy to even think about what I was eating 🤣. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All meals outside the house absolutely no planning in place (aka disaster in my case- if you know what I mean). So what now 🤔? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 𝐌𝐲 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟: would continue the same eating patterns (binge eating) because in my mind I'm off my routine, I failed the diet, I am failure let's just continue to eat whatever- and all my hard work would be gone in matter of week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 𝐌𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰: RESET and move on. Last night I organized my meals for the weeks. Scheduled my workout classes. And avoided any negative self-talk. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bottom line is you won't always have perfect weeks/ weekends. Life happens. Wake up, shake it off, reset.
