Deadlift days are the best days 🤟🏼 The Romanian deadlift (RDL) is a traditional barbell lift used to develop the strength of the posterior chain muscles - it is an essential part of my training as I am particularly quad dominant and need to work on my imbalances
When done correctly, the RDL is an effective exercise that helps strengthen both the core and the lower body with one move 🙏🏼 - side note the bar does not need to touch the ground if this causes back bend, just ensure maximum tension through the hamstrings

I’ve spent the last 3 and a bit weeks enjoying spending every second with Jude, having a break from social media, getting used to sleepless nights and ordering way too much Uber eats.
The only training I’ve done has been walking, and while I cannot wait to pick up a bar again, I’m also conscious that I have to build my strength back up. I’m taking my time, not rushing back to anything just yet...and then it’ll be starting all over from scratch.

Single arm rows are a go-to back exercise, but are you getting the most out of it?
❓When you do single arm rows do you move the weight straight up/down? If so you may be leaving half the reward on the table😱
👆🏻While moving the weight up and down works the rhomboids, rear deltoids and lats to some degree, so much range is left not utilized, especially for the lats😔
😁In the video above I slowly let the weight come downwards and forwards in an arch, this puts the lats on full stretch activating all the muscle fibers that would otherwise not be involved✅
🤔So what’s the point? It all comes back to mechanically induced tension which can be increased by force generation (weight) and/or stretch. Increasing the stretch in the muscle fibers by working them through a larger range leads to greater muscle tension resulting in more work and improved results 😁
🎥Save and try the single arm row by following the prompts in the video, it is a lot harder then it looks and a ferocious lats burn 🔥🔥🔥
