Over the last one month, Voluntary Sevice Organization (VSO) at MIM, a student body dedicated to reaching out to the society and creating a positive change, went the extra mile to make a difference in the lives of the little ones at Academy School, Manipal.
VSO volunteers held a collection drive across the campus by placing drop boxes for students to contribute pens, pencils, eases, crayons, notebooks, and other stationery items. MIMers participated in the movement showcasing true generosity of spirit.
On 18 September, team VSO lead by Jasmine Noronha and faculty coordinator Dr. Varun Kumar G, along with fellow volunteers Shiyal, Sanjana, Sankaran, Anusha, Anand, and Chandan visited the school. After a fun, interactive session with the delightful tots, the collected stationery was distributed. The headmistress of the Academy School expressed her appreciation for the thoughtful gesture. MIMedia team covered the happenings of the evening.
Thank you @vso.mim.mahe for giving us opportunity to capture happiness

Our God is Known for His Faithfulness.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
1) Faithfulness in Provision
• God is on Call to remain Faithful to Provide.
• He provided and continues to provide for the needs of His creation.
2) Faithfulness in Protection
• The Lord is with us, strengthening and upholding us with His righteous right hand.
• He watches over us; neither sleeps, nor slumbers.
3) Faithful to the End
• The world may be uncertain, but our God does not change.
• He will never leave us nor forsake us.
• Once He has entered our lives, He will not walk out.
Mental health is slowly gaining prominence as an issue via movies, songs, shows, etc., but the ones who suffer still do so silently.
One person amongst every 20 Indians passed through the crowd unnoticed, putting on brave smiles against the mental trauma that plagues them.
So, every time you put on that playful smirk, make sure that a part of your mind is always empathetic towards those who cannot do so.
There are 20 days to go for the Techtatva, and each day, do try to make space for that one person in 20.
