Quad. Burn. 🔥 Today we tried the jogging stroller on the sand, and while it was great on the way out, coming back was a different story; rough winds caused sand to swirl up into poor little Ollie’s face, so mama turned around and pulled the stroller backwards the whole way. Was an unexpected lower body workout; going downstairs should be interesting tomorrow. 😬On the plus side, I figured out alternate ways to get a solid workout in with the stroller. Rotating our squat patterns and accessory work. The Principle of Accommodation, often considered a general law in biology, states that the response of a biological object to a constant stimulus decreases over time. In the case of strength and conditioning amd fitness training, the “biological object” is the human mind-body and the stimulus is the training load. The Principle of Accommodation dictates that as a certain training load is repeated over time, the performance gain decreases and the body’s response to the training program diminishes. At Everstrong we rotate our big lifts for clients training for GPP. #ThrowbackThursday  Is that a still a thing? Lol Anyway, here’s a throwback to two weeks ago😂 . Traveling & Training✈️🇮🇹 . Those of you following know I was in Italy for my first time a few weeks ago! I got to spend a little over a week in Rome, Florence, and Venice. I had an amazing time (I plan on sharing more pictures later) but here’s a few shots.📸 My brother mentioned seeing a gym nearby when we were taking a taxi about back to where we were staying in Rome. I looked it up and figured I’d try to get a workout in. The front desk girl was super helpful (Thank God cause I know like 3 Italian phrases and that’s about it) and got me set up with a day pass. The whole gym is downstairs and it gives everything an old school vibe. The weight room had everything you could need, the boxing room was really impressive, and like I said, the staff was great. I got to get a workout in in the weight room then they let me borrow some gloves to put a few rounds in on the bags.🥊 . Italy was great and I definitely want to go back to Florence and Venice again. The Vatican was amazing of course and I’m so grateful for the experience. . I included some other shots including a selfie with the Coliseum in the background, an amazing pizza (again shout out @bamarroquin for the recommendation), and the tiramisu. Which was a delicious desert choice. Typically when asked this question we usually say, to lose weight. But that’s not enough. You need to dig deep and find out what your 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 reason is that causes you to want to exercise? ⁣ ⁣ For some it may be to become stronger or faster, for others it may be to keep up with their children. ⁣ ⁣ 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘺. ⁣ ⁣ Your why is what’s going to push you to keep going on the days you wanna give up, it’ll be your main motivation and what makes this whole process worth it! It’s so crucial to your journey to pinpoint your why. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝐇𝐀𝐓⁣ ⁣ What forms of exercises do you enjoy? ⁣ ⁣ Maybe it’s group fitness classes or maybe it’s working out solo. When are you willing to fit it in? ⁣ ⁣ For some people it’s early morning exercise and for others it’s late at night. 9 miles in this afternoon as the cold front started to move in for the snow tonight and tomorrow. 🌨️ Blustery winds and lots of hills through the mountains made for a difficult one. 🌬️💨 Didn't make it to my goal of 10.75, but 9 is a lot more than none! 💪🏼

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something or that it is impossible. I always wanted abs, and so many of my friends, even fit ones, told me that after kids I should just be content to get a flat stomach and loose the “pooch”. Abs have always been a goal of mine, and it took me foreeever to figure it out. But hey.. this mama of 3 has some abs!
