First Week-End as an almost empty nester, I made a brunch for 5 but we were only 3 ... on sundays I would never think of doing take-out for brunch, I usually make something special for each family member, a favorite food. I felt so many emotions this morning as I cooked- DAKOTA wanted the PITA PIZZA 🍕 I used to make for her when we lived in NY (I can’t believe she remembers she was just 5) , Gil wanted the omelette we had at @la_guerite_sttropez for breakfast, it’s Greek themed ingredients are staples in our home, I added a twist to it: some sautéed onions, turkey 🥓 bacon, cherry tomatoes, fresh feta cubes added last and a mix of fresh basil and mint. And of course for every egg (6g of protein) I added 6 grams of fiber with SIMPLY INULIN, which incidentally makes EGGS SO SO FLUFFY, even 5 star hotels Michelin star chefs can’t believe it ! At our retreat too the chef couldn’t believe the fluff ! We had some smoked marinated salmon & French cream cheese - I missed Dylan & Savannah so much today, it’s definitely bitter sweet ! But I taught both of them how to cook and I know today in London, 2 little kitchens smell incredibly good and just like home. The next post is about Savannah obviously (so I will do the atypical 2 posts in a row)
I got this question so often so here it is..from as long I know myself I always been creative, loved all sort of artistic staff. I start chopping my neighbour's hair from the age of 10 and then the "business" start to grow when my mom bought me a starter hairdressing kit with all the basic stuff and it was all I needed to grow and get experience, so basically I self-educated myself, learned from my mistakes and got better in time. I also involved myself in other creative fields like painting, oil painting most exactly and was great especially when I start exposing my work in local art gallery's and start to have on income from selling my paintings at my 16th.
I'm so grateful that had good teachers and people on my journey to guide me in the right direction and believing in my talent.
As time past I needed to choose a carrier and was so difficult because there are so many things I liked to do so I gave it a try in interior design, psychology and event organising but still wasn't fulfilling and one of my best choices in life so far was to go back to hairdressing professionally and invest in my education and experience.
After all the hard work I can say that I'm at the point where I enjoy what I do and every day I want to learn more and be better. So excited to see where will take me all this in few years from now but till it brings me happynes and gives me the opportunity to create and be artistic nothing else matter!
And a year ago today, I returned home from London, the last leg of my Euro shenanigans. Made memorable purely for the one on one time I got to spend with some stellar humans. The sights, sounds, smells and flavours were just the little bonus! I traversed markets, monuments, parks, streets, stations and rivers, lost something, found something, disconnected and reconnected. Europe, you’re stunning!
There will never be the “perfect” time or day to start a workout. You just have to do it, as simple as that.
You can ask us, where to get motivation? The reason number #1 - your body is your real home. Not your apartment or your house and not even your city, YOUR BODY. But let’s face the most important reason for all of us: people want to look better. For sure it’s very motivating looking in the mirror and see new lines, a new shape, the curves of growing muscles you didn’t have before.
Giving in to your excuses is much more easier, but you must set aside your comfort and train because each day you can make a step forward to your stronger and healthier body. We hope you will make a right choice 💪🏻
